Meetings and Events

Library Sessions

Library sessions are generally held monthly each first Monday afternoon (but not bank holidays). However, once every quarter, sessions will be held on a book-only basis on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Refer to the dates further down this page or in the newsletter for specific details.

Call in and browse our books, cds and magazines. The library includes a wide range of books on topics such as M.E., nutrition, Direct Payments and carers (PAs) and other M.E. related subjects such as relaxation. We also have talking books and many leaflets and booklets on M.E.

The entrance is just off Division Street, and reception staff will guide you to our office. There is also a postal library for members - email info@sheffieldMEgroup.co.uk for details.

Drop-Ins and Focus Meetings

Drop-Ins are social meetings which are held at various venues around the city. Focus Meetings are discussions/presentations each based upon a different M.E.-related topic. Both Drop-Ins and Focus Meetings are generally held monthly each first Thursday afternoon. However, please refer to dates further down this page or in the newsletter for specific details. Why not come along and meet some of our members?

We understand it can be hard to walk into a room of new people. One of our current members would be happy to meet you informally before a meeting for a cup of tea and a chat about how the group runs. Please contact the office and we can arrange this.

NOTE:
It has come to our attention that there is a regular drop-in being held on Thursdays at the cafe in John Lewis. To avoid confusion, we wish to point out that this is not part of, nor organised by Sheffield M.E. Group.
