Sheffield M.E. Group helps hundreds of M.E. sufferers and their families and carers each year. Often, these people have nowhere else to turn. To continue its invaluable work, Sheffield M.E. Group relies on donations and fundraising. Even the smallest contribution will allow us to keep helping people with M.E. There are many quick and simple ways in which you and your family and friends could help raise money for our charity.
Everyclick
Everyclick is a website that helps raise money for charity. There are various ways of supporting Sheffield M.E. Group through Everyclick, including:
To start contributing, follow these simple steps:
- Create an account by visiting the Sign In page of the Everyclick website. This should take no more than a couple of minutes. Note - on the sign-up page, make sure you select 'individual' account from the drop-down list.
- Link your account to Sheffield M.E. Group's account by clicking on the 'edit' button next to the 'Fundraising for' text. Enter the text 'Sheffield M.E. Group' in the search box labelled 'Find a charity' and once on our page, click on the 'select this charity' button.
Each time you search the internet using Everyclick's search engine, a donation of 1p is made to Sheffield M.E. Group. This may not sound a lot, but the money will soon accumulate if enough people sign-up! It can be used in three different ways:
- Use the search bar above
- Add the Everyclick search bar to your browser (this can be done while creating your account or alternatively, click the 'add to searchbar' link on top right of their website pages)
- Use the search bar on the Everyclick website
Note: if you clear your browser's cache, you must sign back into your Everyclick account to ensure the search engine is raising money for Sheffield M.E. Group.

Enter the Amazon website by clicking on the image to the right. It's simple, convenient and you can purchase items from the comfort of your own home!
EasyFundraising
www.easyfundraising.org.uk provides a free and easy to use service where you can shop with your favourite online stores and at no extra cost to raise funds for charity.
Choose from over 600 well-known retailers including Amazon, Next, Argos, EBay, John Lewis and HMV, and when you shop using the links on the EasyFundraising website up to 15% from every purchase you make could be donated to Sheffield M.E. Group.
In addition, the EasyFundraising 'Price Checker' lets you compare thousands of products and prices from EasyFundraising retailers and narrow your search by price and category, as well as seeing delivery options and donation amounts.
To raise money for Sheffield M.E. Group, simply create an account as follows:
- Click on the 'Register as a User' button on the home page www.easyfundraising.org.uk.
- Type 'Sheffield M.E. Group' into the 'Charity/Organisation' box and select our charity. (NOTE: make sure you include the two 'full stops' in between the letters of M.E.) Then complete the remaining details on the form.
- Start shopping to raise money for Sheffield M.E. Group!

Gift Aid
Did you know that if you add Gift Aid to your subscription and any donations, Sheffield M.E. Group can claim Gift Aid Tax Relief of 28p for every pound you donate? For example, a £10 donation can be turned into £12.80 just by indicating that it is Gift Aid. To make a Gift Aid donation you must be a tax payer and you must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax the Charity reclaims on your donation in the tax year. You can cancel this at any time by notifying Sheffield M.E. Group. Call our office for more details.

- Did you know that Envirophone pay cash to recycle old mobiles and an additional £3 to a charity of your choice? Visit www.envirofone.com or call 0870 979 9652.
- Could you hold a fundraising event of your own? It could be something simple such as:
- Hold a coffee morning and ask friends to pay a few pounds admittance fee.
- Hold a 'stepathon' using a pedometer in your home.
- Ask a family member or friend to take part in an event such as a sponsored walk, run or cycle ride.
- Have you ever considered remembering a charity in your will?
- Why not ask your friends and family to support Sheffield M.E. Group? If you wish to send them an email, our email template is available that explains all our fundraising options. Alternatively, you could ask them to look at this fundraising website page for ideas of how they could help. If you, a friend or a member of your family belong to a club or society that raises money for good causes, why not ask them to raise a sum for Sheffield M.E. Group?
