The Information Line is currently open for at least three days per week; with the opening days usually being Wednesday to Friday. We aim to always answer your calls within two working days.
This is a free service and you do not need to be a member to use it. We may be able to help with queries on health issues, welfare benefits, local services and facilities, or anything to make living with M.E./CFS easier. This can be particularly helpful for those with recent onset of the condition, or are recently diagnosed.
This is our office phone number and you can also ring here to find out about the Group's meetings, services, and all its other activities. You will usually speak to Joanne, our Information Officer.
We are currently updating our database of 'M.E. friendly' GP's and would appreciate if you could tell us if you know of any good doctors. Please email our office with the doctor's name, the name of the surgery in which they practice, the address, phone number and area of the city in which they reside (e.g. Nether Edge).
We have produced our own Information Sheets on certain topics which we will send you on receipt of a large stamped addressed envelope. These include:
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Essential Fatty Acids
- Fluid Retention
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Muscle Spasm
- Nutrition and M.E.
- Pain and M.E.
- Sinusitis
- Sore Throats
- Wheat Free Eating
If you feel you need emotional support and would like to talk to someone who has M.E. outside office hours, you can phone our Listening Ear.
