We're delighted to announce that this year on the 12th May we will have 3 ways for you to join in with World ME Day. We'll be hosting a free lunch with special guest Adam Lowe who was on the game-changing NICE guidelines committee!
Firstly, we will be holding a hybrid AGM at The Circle and live to your laptops.
Joins us from 12.30 to celebrate our successes from 2022, thank our volunteers, and look towards a bright future with our new staff team who can't wait to meet as many of you as possible!
Our agenda:
Apologies and minutes of last meeting
Presentation of Annual Report - sharing what we did in 2022.
Presentation of Annual Accounts to end of December 2022
Discussion, questions and ideas going forward.
Election of Trustees and description of the role.
We'll then share an informal lunch with in person attendees before being treated at 2pm to a performance of poetry from LGBT+ writer and one of the founders of #ActionforME Adam Lowe! For the final treat of the day Adam will be in conversation with Carolyn Leary explaining the work he was involved in bringing about the new NICE guidelines. If you'd like to ask questions or get involved and bring a poem along please let us know.
We also hope to welcome new trustees, so if you have aspirations to use your lived experience for the benefit of others with ME, fibromyaligia or Long COVID in a fatigue-friendly environment then please contact Carolyn (via info@sheffieldmegroup) for an informal chat about the role.
Please register by clicking here so we can send you a Zoom link or take details of your dietary requirements.
We'll also be promoting awareness through the World ME Day activities so keep your eyes on our social media as we share ways to get involved and share your story to #LearnfromME.
