Do NOT come in person: How to join online or by phone instead for "Medically Unexplained Symptoms"

DO NOT COME IN PERSON, JOIN US ONLINE OR BY PHONE INSTEAD.

Re: Medically Unexplained Symptoms: Shaky Evidence, Shaky Practice with Dr David Tuller. Monday 16th March. 2:30pm GMT.

We are now asking all attendees please do not come in person on Monday for Dr Tuller's talk on Medically Unexplained Symptoms, but instead join us online or listen to the talk by phoning in using your mobile or landline. All details below. Whilst countries across the world are taking stringent measures to protect vulnerable people from Covid-19, and numbers of confirmed cases in the UK continue to rise exponentially with many further cases going unidentified, we must now ask that people do not attend The Circle on Monday, but instead join the talk with Dr Tuller either online or using their mobile/landline. Topic: Medically Unexplained Symptoms: Shaky Evidence, Shaky Practice with Dr David Tuller Time: Monday 16th March 2020. 2:30pm London GMT. (7:30am PDT. 10:30am ET) To join with your computer, tablet or mobile phone (you will need to download the Zoom app on tablet or mobile but not on a computer) click here: https://zoom.us/j/600588922 During the Q&A you will be able to unmute yourself to ask a question, but not during the talk. OR You can phone in using your mobile or landline and listen to the talk. Dial: +44 203 481 5240 It will then ask you to input the Meeting ID: 600 588 922 Followed by #. During the Q&A you can dial the 6 key to unmute yourself, then press it again to toggle mute back on. It is better to be muted whilst others are speaking so that we don’t hear background noise. You won’t be able to unmute yourself during David’s talk, only during the Q&A afterwards.

The host will still be able to mute you again after asking your question if you do not mute yourself. Finally the talk will also be livestreamed to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SheffieldMEandFibromyalgiaGroup/ Covid-19 is becoming a major concern and we do not know the effect it will have on people with ME or fibromyalgia; we do however know that accessing healthcare is often very challenging for those with these illnesses, therefore we must do everything to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in our communities and beyond. The situation has escalated significantly over the weekend and many institutions are cancelling or postponing events, we feel it is only fair and safe to move this event online. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to you joining the talk online or via your phone. If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch on info@sheffieldmegroup.co.uk or message our Facebook events page.

Take care,

Sheffield ME & Fibromyalgia Group
